Know what to say, what to create, and where to focus.

I help B2B SaaS and technology companies sharpen their positioning, messaging, and content strategy. Then I turn that thinking into content worth publishing.

Content strategy

Writing & editorial

Creating more content is easy.
Knowing what's worth creating is harder.

B2B teams have more ways to create and distribute content than ever. They also have more people asking for it, more channels to feed, and more pressure to keep up.

The challenge is figuring out what actually matters.

  • What does the business need to say?

  • What does your audience need to hear?

  • Where should you invest your team's time and resources?

I help answer those questions, then turn the answers into a strategy your team can actually use.

Where I can help

Most of my work sits somewhere between content, positioning, product, and GTM. Sometimes the need is clear from the start. Other times, we figure out there's a bigger problem to solve once we dig in.

1

Positioning & messaging

Get clear on what you need to say.

When the product has evolved, the company is moving upmarket, or the story just isn’t landing, I help figure out what needs to change.

That means getting underneath the product, audience, market, and business priorities to find the clearest way to tell the story and making sure that story holds together wherever it shows up.

This can include: Positioning and messaging, product narratives, website messaging and copy, campaign messaging, and launch support.

2

Content strategy

Figure out what’s actually worth creating.

More content isn’t always the answer. I help teams decide where content can have the most impact, what deserves their time and resources, and what they can stop doing. That might mean building a strategy from scratch, evolving an existing program, identifying gaps, or bringing more focus to a team with plenty of ideas but no clear way to prioritize them.

This can include: Content strategy, content audits, editorial planning, content prioritization, thought leadership strategy, SEO/AEO direction, and ongoing fractional support.

3

Writing & editorial

Make the content worth publishing.

Sometimes the strategy is already there. You just need someone senior who can understand a complex product quickly and turn the thinking into strong content, or recognize what isn’t working and make it better.

I work directly with B2B content teams and agencies, plugging into existing programs without needing a lot of hand-holding.

This can include: Long-form B2B content, thought leadership, substantive editing, AI-assisted draft editing, content refreshes, website copy, and ongoing writing and editorial support.

Need something that doesn't fit neatly into one of these? That's usually where the interesting work starts.

I want to understand the problem before I solve it.

A project might start as a website rewrite, product launch, content strategy, or messaging refresh. Before deciding what the answer should be, I dig into the product, audience, market, existing content, and what's happening inside the business.

That context usually tells us where the real opportunity is.

From there, I can build the strategy, carry it into execution, or work with your team to make it happen. The goal is to give you a clearer direction and create work that makes sense for the business behind it.

Hi, I'm Steph.

I'm a B2B content strategist, writer, and the person behind Big H Content.

I’ve spent the last decade working inside and alongside marketing teams, from hands-on writing and editing to content strategy and fractional leadership.

Today, my work sits at the intersection of content, positioning, product, and GTM. I help teams make sense of complex products and competing priorities, figure out what actually needs to be said or created, and turn that thinking into strong content.

Sometimes that means leading the strategy. Sometimes it means plugging into an existing program as a senior writer or editor. Often, it’s a mix of both.

That range is intentional. I know how to zoom out and see the bigger picture without losing sight of what it takes to actually execute the work well.

Bringing clarity to strategy, messaging, and content

A few examples of how I've helped B2B teams bring more clarity to their strategy, messaging, and content.

1

Demandbase

Making a complex, evolving product story easier to understand

What started as content work grew into a much broader role across messaging, product marketing, and the website. I’ve helped shape the story around Demandbase AI, rethink site architecture and navigation, and carry evolving product strategy across solution, audience, and campaign content.

2

Relato

Building the content function as the company found its next story

As Fractional Head of Content & GTM, I built and ran Relato’s content program across positioning, editorial strategy, writers, thought leadership, social, and web. As the product shifted toward an AI-agent-assisted platform, I helped evolve the story and the content strategy along with it.

3

TrueVault

Turning a website project into a clearer company narrative

I came in to help with website copy, but the work quickly expanded into positioning, messaging, customer and competitive research, website strategy, content strategy, and executive thought leadership. I’ve continued to help shape how TrueVault talks about its product, market, and point of view across channels.

David Baum,

Relato

"What truly sets her apart is that she is an excellent strategist, too. Stephanie has handled strategy, project management and content writing for us and always delivered above expectations."

Travis Roderick,

TrueVault

"She is an incredibly talented writer and learns the product quickly. She’s been able to hit the ground running with copy writing with our newsletter, emails, and site. I’ve been blown away with her ability to ramp up quickly."

Caroline Van Dyke, Gainsight

“She’s that type of creative partner you want to run ideas past and work through ideas with. She’s a built-in gut-checker, and has such a great pulse on what will actually be something our audience wants to read. … I can’t recommend her enough.”

Let's do work that matters.

Need a senior content partner?

Whether you need clearer positioning, a stronger content strategy, or experienced writing and editorial support, I’d love to hear what you’re working on.
